Do you both enjoy camping? Then consider a camping theme, the ultimate in casual. Reserve a block of campsites for a weekend at your favorite campground or state park. Ask guests to bring tents or a camper so they can enjoy the great outdoors with you for the weekend.
Devote an afternoon and evening to the wedding ceremony. The bride and groom can dress as casually or formally as they like and the guests should follow suit. Optimally, the ceremony site should be idyllic, like a flower filled meadow or next to a serene lake or bubbling stream. A stunning sunset backdrop would complete the fairy tale scene! How about a clambake? Most definitely a casual affair. All you need is a beach and a fire-pit. Serve guests steamers, clams, lobster, corn on the cob, and cole slaw. Make your wedding day a day at the beach!
