Hi Kerry, thanks for submitting your question!

Although I'm not familiar with the process of laminating vellum to wood or MDF, I found some recommendations for adhering acrylic to MDF on the WoodWeb forum: Adhering Acrylic Sheet to MDF/Melamine Substrate

One person recommends cyanoacrylate (super) glue if you don't mind a cloudy look. This might work with our vellum since it's not completely transparent. But again, the vellum we carry at LCI Paper is typically used for stationery projects, so I'm not certain about how it would adhere to MDF. You may want to inquire further on that forum about what kind of vellum & adhesive would be best for your application.

is it possible to use vellum transfers on ceramic tile and how in the world is it done?

To print transfers for ceramic tile, I believe you'll need a special transfer paper. You can buy readymade decals, or make your own decals with inkjet water-slide decal paper. Here's a site that sells this paper: http://www.beldecal.com/inkjet_decals.cfm. They also have large sheets of commercial transfer paper.
