If you’re throwing a baby shower, it’s probably for a friend or relative who is near and dear to you. Because of this relationship, you’ll want to make the shower a memorable occasion for the expectant mom.
As host, one of your many duties is preparing the invitations. To make them very special, why not craft the wording yourself; this lets you create a truly personal message that is customizable.
To help get you started, take a look at the following examples. Use them as is or use them as inspiration to compose your own, unique verse.
Love, joy, and wonderful dreams
all the sweet things a new baby brings ...
Please join us for a shower honoring
Cars & trucks or ribbons & bows
What are they having? Nobody knows!
Tiny fingers, tiny toes,
little itty-bitty clothes,
Dresses, dolls, hair and curls,
guess what ... it's a girl!
Snakes, creepy crawlers,
And oh, so much more . . .
That's what his new mom has in store!
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How we wonder who you are.
A little girl or little boy,
You're sure to bring a lot of joy!
Remember to include the date, time, location, and any other necessary information. Also - very important - don’t forget to mention if the shower is a surprise!
