- The first step is to test print on a plain sheet of paper, preferably one that is cut to the size of the designed invitation.
- Hold the test sheet behind the LCI Paper design to check the alignment of your layout. Slight adjustments to the layout may be needed.
- If the entire printout is only slightly misaligned, adjust the top and/or the left margins slightly if the software being used has this feature.
- Once the layout is to your satisfaction, you are ready to use the actual stock for printout.
We have found that the best results for home printing have been with the use of those printers that offer either a back feeding mechanism or a gravity feeding mechanism (down and out). There are various manufacturer's printers that have been very reliable in this respect. The gravity feeding mechanisms allow for a straighter path for paper. Various laser printers offer back feeding mechanisms as well, which, once again, allow for a straighter path for your card stocks; i.e., less opportunity for paper jamming issues.
