LCI is proud to announce its enrollment in the Green Up Renewable Energy Program!
With an ever-growing emphasis on providing eco-friendly products and working with environmentally-friendly paper mills, it comes as no surprise that LCI has decided to “go green” in its daily operation.
In July, LCI owner Larry Chase made the decision to enroll in the Green Up Program. Though the cost of renewable energy is more per kilowatt than typical electricity, he feels “the additional cost associated with the switch…is insignificant compared to its overall benefits.”
On speaking on his motivation to enroll in this program, Chase also stated; “…we currently use far too many fossil fuels, and this little effort goes a long way in helping clean the air. Having clean air is important for health reasons alone, but I also have small children that should have a clean environment to grow in. We need to take better care of the earth otherwise we are headed for all kinds of environmental and health disasters."
LCI has opted to enroll in Green Up's 100% usage offering, meaning all of its monthly electricity usage will be matched with 30% wind energy and 70% small-hydro power. Explained in simple terms, 100% of the energy LCI utilizes in a month will come from alternative energy sources, instead of typical fossil fueled generators that produce harmful carbon emissions.
Larry closed with, "If every business took this stance it would go a long way.”

LCI Paper now offers the Treasury brand, available in full size sheets in a unique gold color range. Treasury is manufactured by Gmund in Germany with a strong commitment to the environment.

It was this embossment that attracted LCI to the Savanna collection, says Barry Levine, Vice President of Sales and Service. Previously not carrying anything quite like Savanna, the idea behind adding such a uniquely finished card stock to LCI’s inventory was to “provide customers with the additional creative variety they may be seeking.”
